The Body Liberty 12 Days Of Christmas

Hi all. Merry Christmas! I know that writing blog pieces can be considered creative, but I’ve never seen it in the same light as fiction or poetry. I’m not sure I have the imagination required to enter that world, and I’m ok with it. Today, though, I heard the Twelve Days of Christmas playing, and while I love the song, I did think about how old-fashioned it sounded. That got me pondering what I would want to see on my a body liberty version. The below is the result. It may be a little inelegant and not fit exactly with the tune, but I feel it conveys the things that are important to me

Your Verses

That’s my attempt at a body liberation Twelve Days of Christmas, but I’d love to know what yours would be. It doesn’t have to be body liberty themed; I want to know what is important to you. Feel free to pop verses of your own in the comments. Please remember to be kind though. We all have different opinions and should be able to share them respectfully and without venom. This is particularly true at Christmas. So with that in mind, show me what you’ve got 🙂

Hello my dear Musers. If you’re a regular reader of this blog please accept my heartfelt thanks you have no idea how much it means to me. I write this blog to let people suffering with body image issues, mental health problems and trauma know they’re not alone. Lately, though, my mental and physical health haven’t been great. It’s been hard to keep going. For that reason, I’m cutting back and from now on will only post on Sundays to try and ensure a consistent schedule for you as I know it has been slipping of late. Love CMoo xx
